I’m taking writing seriously.
No, honestly, I am. This is now a THING and I’m doing something with it. I love to write and I love to write about writing (makes me feel like I’m being productive.) I’ve noticed that other writers feel the same way about writing about writing.
Have you ever walked into a room and introduced yourself as a writer? You’ll get some very strange responses. Especially if you say you’re writing a book. Most people will politely ask you what it’s about but very few, unless they know what it’s like to be stuck in the murky depths of writing a book, will know what it’s really like. Even if you’re writing short stories, or poems, or articles it’s rare that someone outside of the writing circle will understand what you’re going on about.
So now you can talk about it with impunity. Maddy from Writing Bubble and I have set up the linky “What I’m Writing” for the linking up of blog posts about what you’re writing and how you’re writing it (or not, as the case may be). This is a place to safely vent any writing frustrations, to celebrate any writing joys and disclose any hopes and fears for your writing future.
If you’ve never joined in a linky before, hop in and link up. We have a couple of polite requests:
Please grab a badge. One pointing to either blog will do; we’ll remind you each week who is hosting to reduce any confusion on the day.
Please read and comment on a few of the other links posted. Linking is about sharing, so if you’ve read something you like, let the author know!
